Letter from Pastor Tom
Dear Church,
On Monday, President Trump asked all Americans to stop congregating in groups of more than ten. The goal is to hinder the spread of the Coronavirus. The Bible tells us to follow our leaders direction and to use good judgment.
In response, CenterPointe will be making significant changes on how we “do life together”.  Until further notice, Sunday services will be changing to online only at 8:30, 10 & 11:30. We will be able to participate in worship, hear something for children, and be encouraged by a teaching from God’s Word, all online. This will begin this Sunday when I will bring you a message on how we, the Church, need to respond to this situation.
As a church, we serve…that is who we are and what we do. This Sunday I will introduce a church-wide initiative to outline how we will serve our community, helping people through this crisis. As we are faithful, I believe God will use this to advance His purposes, bringing more people to Jesus. That is our mission and that is our goal.
Finally, all groups will be moved to virtual groups. This should be in place by next week. In the meantime, all in person-to-person groups are cancelled. All outreaches will be rescheduled to a time when the situation has changed. Wacky Wednesday and weekly youth worship will be cancelled and changed to be more virtual in nature. Please watch your email and social media for updates.
As a staff, we will be more prevalent on social media. So, follow the CP Facebook and Instagram accounts (@cpchurchbrevard) for updates and video messages.
The scripture God gave us is Philippians 4:6, “Don’t worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything.” As I said this past Sunday, “God is in control of every season of our life.” That includes this season.
Together we will not just get through this, God will use it for His greater, eternal purpose.
Standing on our knees together,
Pastor Tom
